A WARM HAND” IN A COLD WINTER

In continuation of food aids provision to the families of orphan children, even in these cold days of the winter season and in the framework of conducting its humanitarian activities, the “ALSAR” Foundation selected one of the northern areas having the majority of these families, the city of Shkodra, to carry out the project “Humanitarian solidarity to help the orphan children during the winter months”, through which a number of food aids in contributing somehow to alleviate their economic condition were donated. Thanks to the support provided by the Germany-based Organization of Social and Humanitarian Aids “HASENE”, 200 families of orphan children in Shkodra benefitted food packages from this project.

FRATERNAL COLLABORATION FOR MORE HUMANITARIAN SOLIDARITY

“ALSAR” Foundation in collaboration with “AYDER” Association, based in Konya, Turkey, has implemented the project “Family collaboration for more humanitarian solidarity”. It focused on donating humanitarian aids to 10 families of orphan children in the city of Tirana to whom financial and material aid was provided.

CROPS CULTIVATION TO SUPPORT THE ORPHAN CHILDREN

Following the principle of humanitarian solidarity towards families of orphan children, the “ALSAR” Foundation, during April, undertook the initiative to carry out the project of donating agricultural seeds such as beans, corn and alfalfa to 50 families of orphan children that live in rural areas of Tirana, Durrës and Elbasan, and own a surface area of 1000 – 2000 m2 of agricultural land. This project was made possible thanks to the help provided by the International Humanitarian Hulporganisatie Netherlands (IHHNL), based in the Netherlands, which aims at providing help to the orphan children and to somehow alleviate their economic difficulties through the agricultural crops’ cultivation project.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

GIFTS GIVING TO CHILDREN ON THE OCCASION OF EID AL-FITR

In a festive atmosphere, the program “Let’s celebrate together” was launched, during which orphan children were given gifts, aiming that through sincere feelings of solidarity in a festive atmosphere to provide them support and revive in them feelings of faith and hope for the future.

ORPHANS’ HOUSE RESTORATION

The restoration of the house of an orphan, Ahmet Sula, was successfully accomplished, which was a project that consists of normalizing the living conditions and the significant improvement of the quality life of this family.

The “ALSAR” Foundation after observing the amortized condition of the house and the difficult conditions in which this family lived in the Brar village of Tirana enabled the implementation of the project for its full reconstruction during the months of April – May 2018.

This project consisted of the complete restoration of houses and their roofs, the installation of new power lines, titling, interior and exterior wall plastering, and the installation of new doors and windows.

In a warm family atmosphere accompanied by the feelings of emotions, congratulations, thanking, and prayer, the family members expressed their deep gratitude to the donors that enabled the sponsorship of this charitable project.

HOSTING OF IFTARS: A TRADITION THAT IS PURSUED AND ENRICHED THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

“ALSAR” Foundation on the occasion of the Blessed month of Ramadan has continued the pursuit of a 12-year-tradition of hosting Iftars to express humanitarian solidarity feelings and care towards the poor social classes.

The tradition’s echo of hosting Iftars is heard anywhere across the country under the festive atmosphere of the Blessed Month of Ramadan.
In support of this values tradition, “ALSAR” Foundation has hosted Iftars to honor and respect the Muslim’s sacrifice in this great month.

Iftars have gathered leaders of local government, representatives of the civil society and believers of different group ages. The project will expand in the following days in other cities/towns based on a calendar.

Starting from Tirana, Iftars hosted for individuals of poor families, orphan children, believers, and students of different group ages, aimed to provide them warmness care and convey the message that they are part of a big family. The project expanded to various cities/towns in the country according to a calendar during the entire Blessed Month, of which 5000 persons benefitted, with the aim to express solidarity feelings and create a festive atmosphere during this month of benevolence and divine prosperities.
